21 December 2003: new
Picture of the Week added. Realized the other day that
my e-mail for this site has gone all wonky. Seems to only be accepting
e-mail from people who had emailed that account prior to the wonkiness.
Everyone else it's treating as junk and/or spam. I apologize for that,
and am working to rectify the situation. To those of you who have sent
me email, I'm sorry I didn't answer. I wasn't ignoring you, I just
never got the email.

highways.

the aforementioned pages now complete. As web pages of roads in other
states will
soon be given different background colors (as was the case with
Kansas), I will be duplicating those colors on this page to easily
distinguish Oklahoma highways from those in other states.
7 August 2003: map at left
updated with results from roadtrips the last three days. Everything
north of I-40, including the entire
Panhandle, is now complete.

short highways from this point on will have a small Oklahoma Wishshield
over the highway on the map at the top of the respective page, making
it easier to find where in the state the highway is (older maps will be
updated at time permits).

9A(west), 56 & 102 (completing both ends of each in the
process), western terminus of OK-59, eastern
termini of OKs-3, 19
& 37(north), eastern convergence point of
OK-3E/3W
(completing both points), and both termini of OKs-4(east),
24, 37(south), 39, 59A, 59B(east) & 59B(west).

to the front page. Map at left updated, adding the areas that I've
finished off over the past three weeks, but haven't gotten around to
making or updating the pages for
yet.

defunct highways added, and one corrected.
16 February 2003: added a column on the OK terminus
page for links to Eric's highway pages at OKroads. Removed the
decommissioned highways from the terminus page and moved them to their
own Defunct Highways page, adding a few more in
the process.
12 February 2003: from my Kansas excursion ten days earlier:
added southern terminus of
KS-222, and both termini of US-166, and KSs-26, 101, 134 & 360. Also made a Done map for Kansas similar to
the Oklahoma one, which can be found a little further down on this
page.
4 February 2003: added southern terminus of OK-112 (completing both ends), northern termini of
OKs-71 & 82(south),
eastern termini of OKs-100, 101, 116 (completing
both ends of each), 31 & 51, and both termini of OKs-10A,
26 & 120. Found
new northern terminus of OK-137 & adjusted
that entry. Added both termini of
the newly-commissioned OK-69A(north), part of
which
replaced the Oklahoma portion of Alternate-US-69, whose entry has
therefore been removed from the Other Oklahoma
Termini page.
22 January 2003: added southern termini of OKs-18 & 72 (completing
both ends of both), northern terminus of OK-9A
(west), eastern terminus of OK-113, western
terminus of OK-99A (north)(completing both
ends),
western convergence point of OKs-3E & 3W,
and both termini of OKs-9A (central), 150 & 270.

(completing both ends of each), northern terminus of OK-4(west), eastern terminus of OK-152, southern termini of OKs-74(north),

Terminus page. Three new Oddities added,
involving Big Green Signs along I-44 and the B.A.

created, comprising photos from my snowy trip to work on Christmas Day,
and my trip looking at Christmas lights last night.

and both termini of OKs-18B, 40A, & 66B added.

OKs-42 & 55 added to terminus page. A mention of that site's
western terminus of OK-66 added to my page for that site. Added sidebar

days ago: eastern termini of OKs-56 & 99A(north), southern terminus of OK-52(north)(completing both ends), western
terminus of OK-16 (completing both ends), and

terminus of the Muskogee Turnpike, and both
termini of US 266, the Cherokee
Turnpike, Scenic US 412, the Sallisaw
& Henryetta Business Routes, and the
portion of Arkansas SH-43 that is located
wholly within Oklahoma.
10 December 2002: both termini of Arkansas Interstate 540 added, as well as a few pics in-between.
9 December 2002: Vacation Road Trip Day 4 completed earlier
today, and updated the map at left accordingly. Northern termini of OKs-2 (south) and 112;
eastern termini of OKs-9 & 20; southern termini of OKs-10
(completing both ends), 82 (ditto), and 100; western termini of OKs-101
& 116, and both termini of OKs-9A (east), 64B, 64D, 127, 141 & 412A all
added. Several non-state-highway termini also photographed, but
uploading them will have to wait for another day.
7 December 2002: western terminus of Creek
Turnpike added (completing both ends), as well as eastern terminus
of Turner Turnpike, and both Oklahoma termini
of US-169. Also added a midpoint pic of the
Creek.
4 December 2002:
Vacation Road Trip Day 3 was yesterday, prior to the arriving
ice storm. Added northern terminus of
OK-99, the western termini of OKs-28, 88 (completed both
ends in both cases) and 10, and both termini
for OK-123 & Nowata's US-Alternate-169. Updated the chart at left
accordingly. Found a couple of SHs that apparently no longer exist,
notations of such made on the terminus page.
2 December 2002: took the car for Vacation Road Trip Day 2
yesterday. Not gonna be able to cover as much ground with it as I could
have with the pick-up, but did get several more
roads covered. Charted the areas I have done pics of (state highways
only) so far, as shown in the shaded area at left. Added northern
termini of OKs-16, 52
(north) and 72, and both termini of
OKs-51B, Loop-56, 80, 80A, 104, 162, 165 and 251A, and US
Business Routes 62 & 64 in Muskogee.
30 November 2002: posted results of my Vacation Roadtrip Day
1. (Unfortunately, the pick-up's transmission gave up the ghost some 85
miles from home, costing me nearly $200 to have towed back home, so
there's not likely going to
be a Day 2. Bummer.) Added a page for out-of-state
highways, since I now have some pictures for that section. Moved the
US-44 sign goof to a new "Oddities" page.
On the OK State Highways page, I realized that,
since Eric at OKRoads.com is
linking to my state highway pages on his site, I should reciprocate
here. So I did. His pages are now linked to the actual state
highway shields, while I am still using the design I came up
with for my pages. (His individual pages don't link to my site,
and I'm not about to ask him to change all his pages to do so, so
if you go from one of my pages to one of his, please use the 'Back'
button.) Also listed all the state highways on the page, even the ones
neither of us have taken pictures of yet, getting the suffixed (ending
in a letter) highways from Shearer Publishing's Roads of Oklahoma
map book, available at nearby Wal-Marts and better bookstores
everywhere. Not gonna list the termini for the non-pictured highways
since Eric has already done so on his site.
On the three terminus pages, I flip-flopped my
shading designs. Termini I've posted pics of are shaded in white, while
those at Eric's site are shaded in gray. If the column containing the
shield is shaded, both termini have been photographed.
And now for the highways (finally!). Posted the
northern terminus of OK-82, the eastern termini
of OKs-28 & 66,
the southern termini of OK-137 (and maybe the
northern end, I'm not sure) and US-Alternate-69
(as well as where it crosses the state line), and both termini of OKs-2 (north), 10C, 25
(both north & south),
28A, 85, 85A and 125, KS-66, MO-66 and Joplin BR-44. Also
retroactively added direct links to each page mentioned on this page.
Also, just as I was finishing I realized I had put
the wrong date on some of my pics. As you can see, I did a bunch of new
pages, and I didn't feel like changing every one of them. So any page
that says the pictures were taken on 28 November 2002, they were
actually taken on the 29th.
28 November 2002: northeastern terminus of Creek Turnpike & western terminus of Will Rogers Turnpike (same spot) added.
23 November 2002: eastern terminus of OK-11
added. Site name changed to "Roadklahoma" and a few links on various
pages turned into graphics.
22 November 2002: US-Alt-75 added to
OK-75A(N) page, as the state apparently uses the names interchangeably,
and the southern terminus of the dually-named hwy added, as were the
eastern terminus of OK-117 (completing both
ends), and both ends of OK-67.
17 November 2002: southern terminus of OK-88,
and both termini for OKs-69A, 167, 266, 412B & 412P
added.
16 November 2002: eastern terminus of Cimarron
Turnpike starting a new section for terminus
points within Oklahoma for US Highways, Interstates and Turnpikes.
Northern termini of OK-97 (completing both
ends) and OK-48, and both termini for OK-151 added.
15 November 2002: proposed change to state highway shield
mentioned on front page. All state highway shields that had been
created for the terminus pages altered to reflect the change. This
update page added.
10 November 2002: subdomain created. Interstate 844 proposal
duplicated from Side Trips
on the main site. Northern terminus of OK-75A(N),
southern terminus of OK-97, eastern terminus of OK-33,
western terminus of OK-117, and both termini to OK-117A
and OK-166 added. "US-44" sign goof added.
