OK-97

Southern Terminus: Terminus Junction, the corner of Main & Dewey in Sapulpa

The point where state highways 97, 33 and 75A end, while 66 goes right on through. SH-97 is approaching from behind, and about to end.

This spot is a little unusual, because the "End" sign, when there is one, is usually found before the intersection at which it actually ends. This one has its "End" sign past the intersection, as witnessed in the picture above just past the traffic light.

Northern Terminus: Zink Ranch, 7½ miles north of Sand Springs (cross st: 76th St. N)

If it weren't for Zink Ranch, this highway would be ending way out in the middle of nowhere. Turn either way, and it's miles before you see even the semblance of a town. In fact, turn left and in two miles you'll be on a dirt road.

Left: a view of the Ranch entrance from the intersection itself.
Right: not only the first southbound assurance sign, but the first indication of any kind for 97, as there were no visibly-apparent junction signs for the highway coming from either direction on 76th St. N.
