Roadklahoma OK-7
Western Terminus: I-44, Lawton

Above Left: view from the technical actual endpoint, taken from under I-44 looking westbound. The arrow points to the end sign, seen in closeup in the above right photo.
Below left: First assurance sign eastbound, hard to see in the sun's glare this bright Sunday morning.

Here's a pic of the immediately former western terminus point. This endpoint has been all over Lawton at one time or another, but originally went even further (see sidebar below).

Eastern Terminus: OK-3/US-69/US-75, Atoka

road continues as OK-3.

Sidebar: as recently as the mid-50s, OK-7 stretched across the entire state. West of Lawton, the road was totally duplexed with OK-62 all the way to the Texas panhandle. East of Atoka, OK-7 shared OK-3 all the way to Arkansas. The duplexings were the reason for the decommissions of these parts of the highway, which had been done by the early seventies.

Former western terminus picture taken 30 May 2003. Western terminus pictures taken 7 September 2003. Eastern terminus picture taken 19 June 2003.
