OK-56
Southern Terminus: OK-3E/OK-99/US-377, east of Konawa (road continues as OK-39)

(click on any of the above pictures for a larger version)
Left: the multiple junction signs for the approaching intersection on the other side of the hill
Center: the 'End' sign, which can be seen in the distance of the previous picture
Right: the actual end of the highway at the intersection. Continuing straight ahead puts you on the start of OK-39. Why they couldn't have just continued OK-56 on that road or OK-39 on this one, instead of having two different highways is beoynd me.

Northern terminus: US-75, Okmulgee

There is no 'End' sign at this terminus. US-75 northbound suggests that OK-56 continues to the left (north), but there are no assurance signs, and an 'End' shield on Loop-56 north of here strongly suggests that OK-56 does, in fact, stop here.

Southern terminus pictures taken 24 April 2003. Northern terminus picture taken 10 December 2002.
