Roadklahoma OK-49
Western Terminus: OK-54, west of Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Reserve

OK-49 is the primary road through the aforementioned reserve, pictures of which can be seen in Excursion 6.

Eastern Terminus: I-44, US-62/277/281, north of Fort Sill

The 'End' sign diesn't appear until after the road has crossed I-44 (that road coming from the right in front of the 'End' sign is the northbound off ramp). Going westbound, the eastern entrance to the Reserve has another 'End' sign for OK-49. That is a misnomer, as the highway actually crosses the reserve & comes out the other side. (There is no signage of any kind for the highway within the reserve)

Pictures taken 30 May 2003.
