Western Convergence Point: junction of I-40 &
US-177
Looking south along US-177. Continue straight ahead
and you're on OK-3W (purple on the map at the top). Go east (left) along
I-40 and you're duplexed with OK-3E (orange on the map). The highways reconnect
at this point and continue to the west (right) along I-40 as OK-3.
Eastern Convergence Point: OK-1/OK-19, Ada
(Click on any of the above pictures for a larger view)
Upper left: OK-1/OK-3 northbound, at a cloverleaf exchange. Continuing straight
ahead keeps you on OK-1, as well as the OK-3E divergence road. The second
exit shown, the northeastern cloverleaf portion, follows OK-3W, as well as
the start of OK-19.
Upper center: approaching the same cloverleaf from the opposite direction,
looking southbound.
Upper right: first assurance sign of the rejoined OK-3, southbound just past
the cloverleaf.
Lower left: first assurance sign of OK-3W westbound, also just past the cloverleaf
Lower right: Cloverleaf is off in the distance. Going eastbound. OK-3W ends
here. First exit takes you south onto the rejoined OK-3, second exit to the
other split of OK-3E. Going straight ahead takews you on an unsigned road
into central Ada.
Sidebar: Back before OK-3 was split into east/west routes in
this part of the state, the highway followed pretty much what is now the
3E route.
