Sidebar: prior to the construction of the Cimarron Turnpike and the wide extension on towards Enid, this road was US-64. Duplexed with US-77 from Perry to the eastern terminus above, US-64 continued on to Covington, then turned north and duplexed with OK-74, up to the point where OK-15 (east) now ends, at which point US-64 turned and headed west along the same path that it takes today.
