Southern Terminus: corner of Mission and Taft (SH-117)
Northern Terminus: corner of Mission & Dewey (SH-66, which turns from
Dewey north onto Mission at this same point)
A one-mile stretch of road that allows you to go from
northeast Sapulpa to southeast Sapulpa and still stay on a state highway.
Probably got signed because this is the road to Sapulpa's largest hospital.
The group of signs at left probably contains an error, but there's
no way to verify it (this is a closeup of the signs at the far right of
the previous pic). According to all the other signs in Sapulpa, SH-33's
eastern terminus point is actually one mile west of this corner. It used
to come along here when 33 went all the way to the Arkansas State Line, but
the creation of US-412 made all of SH-33 east of Sapulpa redundant, so those
sections were decommissioned. However, there are no reassurance signs on
Dewey eastbound between Mission and Main, not even for SH-66, so
this sign may or may not be in error.
Back to 117A, take a look at the photo below, looking north along 117A
from the southern terminus. It's really hard to see, but if you look very,
very closely, you can see two different sets of traffic lights in the distance.
The second set of lights is the northern terminus if 117A, making this state
highway one of the very few where you can look from one endpoint and see
the other.
