Roadklahoma OK-18
Southern Terminus: US-177, Shawnee

A diamond exchange off US-177/270. Unusual because this street (looking east) ends where I'm taking the picture. Also, if you're exiting southbound 177 (coming from the left) in order to go east on OK-18/Business US-270 you first have to go west on this road, come to the end of the street where I am in the picture, and make a U-turn. Granted, they give you plenty of room to do this, but still...

No 'End' sign at either terminus.

Northern Terminus: Kansas State Line, north of Grainola (continues as KS-15)

Upper Left: looking south, toward Oklahoma (the vehicle at left is indeed the Official Transportation of Roadklahoma)

Lower left: the first assurance sign, at the start of the first turn.

Upper Right: looking north, into Kansas.

While at this spot I stayed for about ten minutes to catch up on my maps and check-off lists. In that time the only thing I could hear was the sound of the leaves rustling the grass. No animals (there were some cows in the distance, but they were keeping quiet), no insects (temperature was below freezing), and most interestingly, no machinery! No sounds of civilization of any kind, not even in the distance. Happens far too infrequently.
