Roadklahoma KS-15

Southern Terminus: Oklahoma State Line, north of Grainola (continues as OK-15)

Upper Left: looking south, toward Oklahoma (the vehicle at left is indeed the Official Transportation of Roadklahoma)

Lower left: the first assurance sign in Oklahoma, at the start of the first turn.

Upper Right: looking north, into Kansas.

While at this spot I stayed for about ten minutes to catch up on my maps and check-off lists. In that time the only thing I could hear was the sound of the leaves rustling the grass. No animals (there were some cows in the distance, but they were keeping quiet), no insects (temperature was below freezing), and most interestingly, no machinery! No sounds of civilization of any kind, not even in the distance. Happens far too infrequently.
